Over the past few days, officers have been carrying out a combination of proactive enforcement and community engagement activity across Leyton and Grove Green Wards.
✅ Conducted proactive patrols targeting various locations across E10, resulting in 8 stop and searches being carried out.
✅ Issued 1 Community Resolution for possession of cannabis.
✅ Recovered 1 knife during patrol activity, helping to keep our streets safer.
✅ Made 1 arrest for a racially aggravated public order offence.
Alongside this enforcement work, officers continued to engage with local communities and faith groups.
🕌 Officers visited Noor UL Islam Mosque alongside our Inspector and local MP Calvin Bailey following a recent hate crime incident, providing reassurance and support to members of the community.
🐱 In addition, officers assisted with the rescue of an abandoned cat found living in squalid conditions on Leigh Road. After the cat was reportedly refused by the RSPCA, arrangements were made for it to be taken into the care of the Celia Hammond Animal Trust, where it can now receive the support and treatment it needs.
The past few days have highlighted our commitment to both tackling crime and building strong relationships with our communities. We will continue to take positive action against offending while working closely with residents, faith groups, and partner organisations to keep Leyton & Grove Green wards safe.
